No, the act of shipping something by air is not implied by the presence of an airplane in the picture. The plane could be doing something else, like sitting in the hangar.

    I thought airshipping was meant for dirigible-like objects for some reason, but neither that idea nor henke's matches up with facts like "there are a lot of jet images with no shipping of anything tagged 'airshipping'."

    It doesn't come from "shipping by air" but rather "airship", i.e. a ship in the air. Still, what diribigal said.
